Unless otherwise indicated, all events are free and open to the public and begin at Blue Sky parking lot. Bring your own water as there is no drinking water available in Blue Sky.

Mondays and Wednesdays- 8:30 AM. Take a hike

Join docent Lisa Higbee every Monday and Wednesday at 8:30 am on her regular 2-3 mile hike. Pace is dependent on group. No hike Nov 4 and Dec 25.

Sunday, November 10- 9:00AM. walk N’ Talk series- plant adaptations

This is the final walk in the 2024 Friends of Blue Sky Walk n’ Talk Series. If you attend 3 hikes in 2024, you will receive a Friends of Blue Sky patch!

Sunday, NOVEMBER 23- 9:00 AM. lake ramona power walk

Join docent Eric Brewer for a quick-paced hike through the Reserve and the climb up to beautiful Lake Ramona. Having a reasonably good fitness level is recommended. 4.6 miles round trip.

friday, november 29- 8:00 AM. skip black friday!

Shrug the shopping and come join our traditional post-Thanksgiving hike to Ramona Dam. Docent Celeste Larson will lead the 16th annual Black Friday outing! About 5 miles roundtrip, 800+ feet in elevation gain.

Sunday, December 8- 8:00 am. happy paws, happy dogs

Who doesn’t like a good sniff around? Bring your pooch to explore Blue Sky’s sights, sounds and smells with docent Anna Gateley-Stanton.

tuesday, december 31- 8:00 AM. one last time for auld lang syne

This is the last official docent led hike of the year. Join Celeste Larson for an interpretive 5.5 mile loop through Blue Sky, around Lake Poway and back.
